Payment and Working Conditions

External invigilators are paid R255.30 per session.

While the number of sessions varies depending on exam schedules, invigilators may work multiple sessions during national examination periods.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the position.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • N6 Certificate or National N Diploma in:
    • Business Studies
    • Engineering Studies
    • Or another relevant qualification

Additional Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must also:

  • Be unemployed or retired teachers/lecturers
  • Be medically fit to stand or walk during exam sessions
  • Have no criminal record
  • Be willing to sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement
  • Not currently be participating in a learnership or internship

Preference will be given to graduates from Western TVET College.
