How to Transfer to UniSA From Another University Find out the Steps to follow if you want to transfer from UNISA to any Other University this article Describe five steps you must follow to accomplish transfering.

Who Can Transfer to UniSA?

UniSA accepts transfer applications from:

  • Students from South African universities
  • International university students
  • TVET college students (for some qualifications)
  • Students changing qualifications or institutions

You must still meet the admission requirements for your chosen UniSA qualification.

Transferring from UniSA To Another University

I have experienced a similar situation in the past as I wanted to transfer from UniSA to an institute in another state. It is true that UniSA is a reputable institute for adult students, it offers multiple scholarships and allows students to work, and pays stipends to them.

Plus the management, faculty, and staff all are responsive and allow freedom to move from one place to another. But my reason to transfer was a bit different. I applied for the transfer for the sake of more exposure and to find a different community of intellects.

Anyhow, the university offers students to transfer and you should know that it is not an overnight procedure. Sometimes, it may take weeks, or in special cases, you may need to wait for months. Well, the duration depends upon several factors such as the program, providing documents and transcripts, or the admission office’s decision. Therefore, you should be ready to wait for an unexpected duration if you are applying for a transfer.

Step 1: Select a Institute

It is highly significant to ensure that the university you are applying to, allows transferred students from the UniSA. There are many universities that do not offer students to study, therefore, you must clarify it right after you plan to leave.

If I tell you my way, research for a week and list out the institute which offers transfer from UniSA. Once you have everything on the table, pick the most reputable institutes which offer more facilities.

Once you filter out them, go to google and check their international ranking. Now align the names from high to low and mark the 3 or 5 with the most high ranking. I will recommend you visit those filtered institutes but if you are unable to pay a visit, search about them as much as you can, and read feedback from the students.

Step 2: Check Eligibility Criteria

At the end of the day, you will have only one institute on the list, now check the eligibility criteria. Check all the details about the program you want to continue there and examine how you can apply. Once you are satisfied and you are also eligible, visit that particular university for further information about the submission and program.

Step 3: Apply for Another University

You have done the research job and the next step is to apply for the transfer. First apply for a transfer from your university (UniSA) to another institute. You are required to fill out a form where you will provide all the details about the program, cost, and purpose for transfer then submit it. There are two ways to do this task, first, you can apply on the university website on the other hand, you can submit from to the admission office manually.

Step 4: Send the Transcript

Once you apply for the transfer, you will need to send the transcript to the other institute. Additionally, if you apply for it, it is possible they will charge you a few bucks for the transfer application and the transcript. However, pay the bill and bring the documents. The next step is to send it to the receiving university. Remember, the transcript should inform all about the grades and courses you have taken in the past.

Step 5: Wait for the Approval

Once you submit the transcript and application to the new institute, wait for their approval. Here you must pose a great amount of tolerance because at this moment both institutes will decide your future. Anyhow, if the approval arrives with a piece of good news, you will need to follow the instructions provided by the institute further. But you have done the job and now you are no longer a student of UniSA.
