Job Description
Productivity / Delivery

Ensure all planned blending is completed on a daily basis according to production plan.
Accurate recording of all blend instructions ensuring that quality is met.
Take all blends sheets , allocate tanks & take them to Lab for approval.
Arrange additives drums for blending, open and line up base oil tanks as per object list.
To ensure efficient operation of all blend vessels as per plan.
Effectively controlling the mixing blend as per procedure.
Stop any base oil transfer when non-conformance is suspected and report immediately.
Co-ordinate ship and transfers.
Starting the boiler daily.
Working on flex batch system
housekeeping

Inventory Management

Ensure correct stock count on part drums is recorded.
Dip all base oil tanks weekly and monthly.

HSEQ

To ensure the safe operation and shutdown of blending process.
Ensure compliance with all procedures for the blending process and report all accidents, incidents, near misses, spills.

People Management :
Train and transfer the skills to new employees.

Context and environment

In a production environment of continuous improvement.
Maintain sound relationship across the L.M.P. lube chain.

Candidate profile

Suitable 3-year tertiary qualification . Chemical Engineering or Production Management.
Must have a valid motor vehicle and forklift Driver’s License & own vehicle.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
Computer Literacy –
General Knowledge pertaining to the Receipts, Handling, Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Products.
Minimum Two years working experience in a Lube Blend Plant.
Must understand production pipelines.
General Operation of Fire Fighting Equipment and Spill.
Working Knowledge of ISO 9000/ ISO 14000 systems
Applicable Knowledge & experience with Safety Management Systems.
