We collaborate with some of the best vanilla experts and pastry and dessert chefs in the world, and will be constantly testing and improving working methods to achieve excellence.

The job

Lake Victoria Vanilla Farm is a young company and hence, very few procedures are in place. There will therefore be plenty of opportunity to make your mark on the job. It is a prerequisite that you can both take initiatives and that you can follow instructions.

The tasks that you will be in charge of will be:

  • Supervise field workers
  • Plan workflow for the farm
  • Research issues related to the farm

  • Submit weekly reports

You will refer to Lake Victoria Vanilla’s Director Mette Ravn who will be in TZ about 50% of the time. It is therefore important that you can organise your time, that you work well without supervision and that you can report in a timely manner on progress and challenges.

You are required to live in the region

The ideal candidate

You have a degree in agriculture or similar, and practical experience with running a large-scale farm, as well as setting up and monitoring tests of different methodologies. Knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.

  • Four weeks paid holiday (after one year)
  • A very dynamic and international environment where initiatives are rewarded and great degrees of freedom given.
