The Gauteng Department of Education is mandated to provide compulsory basic education to all learners in the province progressively

We are committed to providing functional and modern schools that enable quality teaching and learning, that protect and promote the right of every learner to quality, equitable and relevant education.

For the Guardians or Parents who failed to Apply for their Children GDE Grade 1 or 8 they are advised to visit the Centres for assistance.

Here’s a list of Decentralised Walk-in Centres in Gauteng where parents & guardians can visit to be assisted in applying for their children if they cannot do so from their home or office.
