World Vision Tanzania (WVT) (wvi.org/tanzania) started in 1981 and currently works with the Government of Tanzania as a strategic partner to deliver services in 16 regions of Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Arusha, Tanga, Morogoro, Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Singida, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Tabora Kigoma, Kagera, Iringa, Lindi and Mtwara. WVT continues to have it operations in areas displaying high levels of vulnerability.

By 2025, WVT aims to contribute to the improved and sustainable wellbeing of 3.2 million children directly including the most vulnerable in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

To drive all WVT Project vehicles as planned.

Ensure that the general state of the vehicle has been regularly & timely checked (before and after use).

Clerical services provision

  • Timely support to all project staff as legally planned

Maintain Log Books

    • All mileage recorded should be those legally authorized

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

  • At least three years of experience as a driver
  • Safe driving record
  • Must be well acquainted with basic knowledge of vehicle parts and be able to diagnose vehicle-related faults in the first place.
  • Long-distance driving experience

Job Tittle: Complain Help Desk Assistant ( 4 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES;

Accountability (Information Provision, Community Engagement/Consultation, Community Participation, Complaints, Feedback & Response Mechanism)-Beneficiaries oriented (50%)

  • Receives, records/documents and respond to all complaints mainly channeled via help desks and other channels (Feedback meeting, referral system, consultations etc) that are related to World Vision programs, commitments, or conduct, this can include Food, GBV, security, Peacebuilding & Child protection related issues.
  • Engage in daily pre-address speech/Pre-distribution meetings where key updates/information are being passed/communicated to beneficiaries.
  • Liaising: making a link between the beneficiary and the Distribution/Nutrition team at GFD and SFP respectively.
  • Ensuring that, all complaints and feedback that are not food aid or cash aid shall be referred to the relevant sectors/organization.
  • Provide a receipt to beneficiaries (refugees) for all complaints and feedback received.
  • Information dissemination: Participate in Providing information to beneficiaries on project activities (i.e. Nutrition/distribution program), about World Vision, and how to make a complaint.

  • Preparing and submitting CRM weekly or monthly Progress reports.
  • Prepare and reconcile cycle manual redemption report with Distribution Center Supervisors prior to submission to WFP.
  • Recording data into a paper-based format and filling data into the ODK platform daily during distribution.
  • Document every pre-distribution speech/meeting minute on a circle basis and ensure signed by both community and project representatives. Also, document every piece of information shared with communities.

Required Professional Experience

Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Support WVT to develop and diversify Local resource Mobilization. (40%)

  • Implement WVT Local Resource Mobilization Strategy that includes securing new, diverse, and additional resources for WVT in order to respond to WVT’s funding needs.
  • Conduct and develop a funding needs assessment for WVT.
  • Conducting research on potential local donors/partners such as trusts, foundations, companies, and high-net-worth individuals. This includes proactively identifying funding opportunities, as soon as or ideally before they become public knowledge and constantly scanning the horizon, networking and soliciting donor intelligence, and sharing information on donor profiles (policies, preferences, geographical focus).
  • Draft appealing proposals and concepts when needed to diverse sources, including local development partners, corporate, government philanthropists, and foundations.
  • Produce Local Resource Mobilization Plans as per stipulated periods and requirements. Includes close working relations with the Finance team in the development of appropriate investment required.
  • Identify funding opportunities from local donors including individuals, Private companies, corporate companies, government, foundations, and local agencies.
  • Strategically positioning WVT as a trusted brand to partners through intervention by using multi-media channels, national television, radio, newspapers, and online platform.
