How To Cancel NSFAS Application
Various reasons can lead an applicant to choose not to pursue a certain application; for example, they could have acquired funding from a different source, they could not require funding anymore or just have decided to opt out of NSFAS.
- Login into your MyNsfas account on Nsfas’ website.
- On the NSFAS dashboard, scroll down and select “View Applications” under Application Tracker.
- Select Track Application.
- Select Cancel Application
Funding applications can be submitted on the NSFAS portal, MyNsfas.
You must meet the following criteria in order to be deemed eligible to receive funding from NSFAS.
- Be a South African citizen
- All Sassa grant recipients qualify for funding
- Your household must have a combined household income of not more than R350 000 per annum.
- People with disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
How to apply for SRD SASSA Grant
- To apply for R350 grant you can visit the SRD portal online.
- Enter your Cell Phone Number (cell phone number) and click the “Send SMS” button.
- You will receive a 6-digit OTP number in the message.
- Enter the OPT number and click the “Verify Pin” button.
- Agree to Terms and Conditions for Declaration and Consent Document Rules.
- South African ID holders can provide an ID Number while others can enter a Special Permit
- File Number.
- Provide personal details including, Name, Surname, Address, and Gender.
- Provide your banking details (Bank Name, Branch, Account Type, and Number) or choose the payment option “Send Cash.”
- Submit your payment option and Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Wait for the SASSA verifications from the Department of Home Affairs database for your personal and banking details.
- You will soon obtain a Sassa confirmation message on your mobile number indicating your SRD R350 grant is active.
- Asylum Seekers and Special Permit holders will get a Payment ID to collect payment at Pick ‘n Pay.
