To Accomplish your Cao Application you are required to pay an Application fee,This Guide will Lead to successful CAO Fee payments. CAO stands for the Central Applications Office which is used to submit applications to higher education institutions. Here’s how to check your application status on CAO.

CAO is the Central Applications Office. They are a centralised applications service offering access to the fullest range of study opportunities in Higher and Further Education in Southern Africa.

CAO Application Intakes

January Intake Fees:

If received by CAO on or before October 31:

  • SA citizens: R250
  • International Applicants: R300

If received by CAO on or after November 1:

  • SA citizens: R470
  • International Applicants: R580

July Intake Fees:

If received by CAO on or before May 31:

  • SA citizens: R250
  • International Applicants: R300

If received by CAO on or after June 1:

  • SA citizens: R470
  • International Applicants: R580

How To Pay CAO Application Fee?

This administration fee, non-refundable in nature, is structured as follows for January and July intakes:

You can pay your CAO application fee at several retail stores and outlets that display the EasyPay sign. These stores include:

  • Pick n Pay
  • Checkers
  • Shoprite
  • Woolworths
  • Any store displaying the EasyPay sign

CAO Application Fee Online

  • Visit the CAO website.http://www.cao.ac.za/
  • Submit your application.
  • After selecting ‘Process my application,’ you’ll be guided on how to pay the administration fee. Online Payment at a Later Date (for online or app submissions):
  • Click on ‘My application’ on the homepage.
