How to log in to Calcentral
Obtain calcentral.berkeley.edu’s address.
Simply click Sign In.
Enter your CalNet ID on the CalNet Authentication Service page.
Put your passphrase in here (It is Case sensitive).
Click “SIGN IN” to finish logging into your Cal dashboard.
Unable to log in?
Make sure you’re using the correct login credentials if you encounter the error “invalid credentials” when attempting to log in:
- Your CalNet ID is your user name and not your email address
- Passphrases are case sensitive – make sure Caps Lock is off!
- To reset your passphrase, visit Forgot My CalNet ID / Passphrase.
How to reset your password
You can ask for a reset if you’ve forgotten your CalNet ID or password. Enter your student number, employee number, affiliate number, or recovery email address (not from Berkeley) in the box, then click “Request Reset.” You will get an email with instructions if the system has your recovery email stored on its system.
How to view grades in calCentral
Following the semester: Final grades will be displayed in CalCentral on the Semesters card. When the teacher posts the students’ grades, they are visible. However, please be patient as sometimes grades may not show up for a day after being posted.
There is currently no automated communication system in place, so students must check CalCentral to see if their grades have been uploaded.
