Uongozi Institute Jobs 2026 offer 3 job vacancies in Tanzania for qualified Tanzanian professionals in executive administration, information technology, systems administration, communication, marketing, and public relations. The advertised positions are Executive Assistant, ICT Officer (System Administrator), and Communication Officer, with applications submitted through the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) Recruitment Portal. The three advertised positions are outlined below.

1. Executive Assistant – 1 Post

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), including coordination of schedules, meetings, correspondence, travel arrangements, and other executive-level activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the CEO’s schedule to support effective planning.
  • Coordinating the CEO’s meetings, including arranging appropriate venues.
  • Managing relations with visitors to the CEO’s office.
  • Answering and redirecting calls from the CEO’s office.
  • Handling the CEO’s correspondence, redirecting it where necessary and following up on outstanding matters.
  • Compiling, updating, and managing the CEO’s contact directory in consultation with relevant directorates, units, and sections.
  • Liaising with the CEO’s Personal Assistant and providing access to the CEO’s contact directory.
  • Making travel arrangements for the CEO, Heads of Directorates, and Board Directors.
  • Providing secretarial support for CEO meeting documents, including board papers and management meeting documents.
  • Assisting with logistics involving high-level delegates participating in the Institute’s activities, including travel arrangements, correspondence, direct communication, and delegate support.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be holders of a Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, or equivalent related qualifications from a recognized institution.

Candidates must also have at least three years of work experience in administration, customer service, and/or front office management.

2. ICT Officer (System Administrator) – 1 Post

The Information Technology and Communication (ICT) Officer (System Administrator) will support the management, maintenance, security, and effective operation of the Institute’s ICT systems and infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and assisting in the management of ICT systems and tools.
  • Assisting in the analysis, design, modification, and support of computer information systems.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, workstations, file servers, network cabling, and other related equipment and systems.
  • Installing programmes and conducting testing, monitoring, and maintenance of software packages and application systems.
  • Troubleshooting computer system challenges and supporting proper system functionality.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of computer networks and personal computing infrastructure.
  • Evaluating the operational performance of ICT systems and programmes.
  • Planning and implementing network security.
  • Managing host security, file permissions, backups, disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and user accounts.
  • Investigating, recommending, and installing enhancements and operating procedures aimed at optimizing network availability.
  • Establishing and performing maintenance programmes in accordance with the Institute’s and vendors’ standards.
  • Troubleshooting, upgrading, and configuring disk drives, data acquisition boards, printers, and other ICT equipment.
  • Maintaining, reviewing, and renewing ICT-related site licences.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification from a recognized institution.

Applicants must also have at least three years of work experience in the information technology field.

3. Communication Officer – 1 Post

The Communication Officer will support the implementation of the Institute’s corporate communication activities and contribute to stakeholder engagement, media relations, content development, digital communication, and communication-related events.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation of the Institute’s corporate communications strategy.
  • Participating in strengthening and expanding relationships with Institute stakeholders and members of the general public.
  • Assisting in drafting correspondence relating to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in line with Institute policies.
  • Assisting with media inquiries and arranging interviews with stakeholders, targeted leaders, and other experts.
  • Creating and updating the stakeholder database for information sharing.
  • Assisting and participating in writing publications for the Institute.
  • Assisting in monitoring internal communication and providing recommendations where necessary.
  • Assisting in creating content and updating the Institute’s website and social media platforms.
  • Assisting in coordinating sensitization workshops and seminars for staff to enhance effective communication.
  • Assisting in preparing content relating to the Institute’s programmes and activities, including marketing materials, research, event reports, strategic plans, and annual plans.
  • Coordinating logistical arrangements for the production of interviews to be filmed for the Institute’s television programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration majoring in Marketing, International Relations, Business Communication, or an equivalent related qualification from a recognized institution.

Candidates must also have at least three years of work experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations.

Citizenship and Age

Applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be above 45 years of age.

The advertisement further specifies separate age limits for vacancies within paramilitary institutions. For non-degree posts, applicants must not exceed 25 years, while applicants for degree posts must not exceed 30 years.

Required Certificates

Applicants must attach certified copies of the following documents:

  • Postgraduate, Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, and other relevant certificates.
  • Academic transcripts for Postgraduate, Degree, Advanced Diploma, and Diploma qualifications.
  • Professional registration and training certificates from the relevant registration or regulatory bodies, where applicable.
  • Birth certificate.

Applicants should note that Form IV and Form VI results slips, testimonials, and partial transcripts are not accepted in place of the required certificates.

Applicants must also upload a recent passport-size photograph through the Recruitment Portal.

Public Servants and Retirees

Applicants currently employed in the Public Service are not allowed to apply and are required to comply with the relevant public service circular.

Similarly, individuals who have retired from the Public Service, regardless of the reason for retirement, should not apply.

Referees

Each applicant must provide details of three reputable referees, including reliable contact information.

Foreign Qualifications

Applicants holding foreign academic qualifications must ensure that their certificates are recognized by the relevant authorities, including TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET, as applicable.

Applicants applying for positions with a GPA requirement must attach their GPA calculation certificate from TCU.
