Job Description

The Logistics and Transport team is looking for a temporary Depot Manager for the Port Elizabeth area to join the team.
HSEQ
You will effectively manage and minimise the risk associated with depot operations by ensuring:

  • compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guidelines and legal requirements within area of responsibility;
  • promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPI’s and risk reduction strategies;
  • HSE competency requirements are enforced within area of responsibility.

STRATEGY
Ensure that there are optimal resources and stock for a safe and controlled operation.
MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the relationship with host, Astron Energy and JV Partners and ensure that TSA meet all the operational and administrative requirements.
  • Manage the transport contractor ensuring that product is received, handled and issued safely and contractor meets contractual obligations.
  • You will conduct daily safe to load assessment on contractual transporter vehicles.
  • Manage additive stock levels at set targets to minimise working capital requirements and to meet supply demands.
  • You will monitor Daily processing on Ssam, Harmonie and EDI ensuring quality control and investigating anomalies.
  • Ensure that stock is reconciled daily so that quality control is maintained on Ssam and Harmonie.
  • Ensure that the right products, in the right time, at the right quantity against set service levels and transport KPI’s to meet customer requirements and improve the efficiency and optimisation of the transport.
  • Manage delivery gains/losses are within accepted norms/standards to minimise stock losses.
  • Manage the depot’s operating expenditure through regular budget monitoring to ensure a reduction in costs to improve the profitability of the Company.
  • Manage the depot’s administration within Company guidelines that will result in improved controls and operation of the depot.
  • Manage Depot housekeeping and HSEQ to Company standards
  • Report consolidated results of the depot and any exceptions thereto monthly together with the corrective action plans to ensure accurate reporting of the depot’s activities and results.
  • You will recommend areas of improvement in the depot for the consideration of the Area Manager to improve the efficiency of the operation of the depot.
  • You will handle any operational crises and problems by activating contingency plans and advising all affected parties so as to avoid any/minimal disruption of the operational activity in the depot.
  • Ensure efficient customer service by resolving all customer queries / problems expediently thereby contributing to improved customer perceptions.

GOVERNANCE

  • You will ensure effective risk Management and Internal control, including asset management and Mass Balance compliance for area of responsibility.
  • You will attend JV Committee meetings for Port Elizabeth Complex

ASTRON ENERGY RECEIPTS AND DISPATCHES

  • Manage daily processing Astron receipts and loading
  • You will approve daily and monthly product reconciliation of plant stock

OTHER

  • Manage the entire operation of the Depot within the framework of relevant legislation, regulations and Group norms governing the Industry thus ensuring high customer service levels with the aim of contributing to TOTAL’s profitability and strategic supply positioning
  • KPI’s – Expenditure, Harmonie exceptions, audit reports (safety, quality, environment and admin), HSEQ stats, transport KPI, Mass Balance.

  • You will be responsible for product receipts via Shipping for monitoring and processing
  • You Monthly prices changes results in fluctuating demand.
  • Strict document control for accurate stock control
  • Self-motivated to work with minimal Supervision



Candidate profile

  • You have a BTech in Engineering / Logistics and 4 years experience relevant business experience.
  • Experience in stock management gained in a petrochemical, production or industrial environment.
  • Valid code 08 drivers license
