The Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand, has stated that the government will continue to recognize the top students publically after the announcement of Guyana’s CSEC and National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) results on Second Week of September 2023
The results of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams and the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) were announced by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) in Guyana at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre one day after the exams.
NGSAs for 2023 are typically written in August. The topics covered in the examination are drawn from the consolidated curriculum, which was developed by the Ministry of Education in consultation with Canadian experts, and covers material up to the fifth grade level.
