A global group within the education sector has a vacancy for a marketing manager. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in target/results-driven marketing/communications, with a digital focus.
We are looking for an energetic, dedicated and hard-working team-player, who is happy to get involved in the grassroots work within the team, as well as support the more strategic side of the department, including working with Senior Leadership (local and global) to develop the annual marketing plans.
Skills and competencies
- University degree (or equivalent), preferably in marketing/communications or similar
- Minimum three years’ experience working in marketing with sound understanding of multichannel marketing principles, strategies and concepts
- Experience in developing and delivering integrated omni-channel marketing strategies (ATL, BTL, Digital) to meet ambitious business objectives and targets
- Experience in managing creative agencies
- Experience in regularly analysing, assessing and reporting on data against key deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication, negotiation and team working skills
- Performance/target driven, mature and accountable
- Strong willingness to undertake regular travel within SA
- Own transport and willingness to travel weekly to different locations in JHB essential
- Good organisation skills, ability to prioritise and proactive team-player
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Maintaining internal and external professional relationships to manage and promote core values
- Confident, mature, presentable, articulate and dynamic personality
- Excellent written and spoken English, strong communication, administration and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Media liaison experience a plus
- Knowledge of schools market/education Sector a plus
