Sketchbook Studios is looking for a young, dedicated, enthusiastic, business-savvy individual with a passion for the film and entertainment industry to help us in an admin-centred role. You will get the opportunity to manage communication and partnership opportunities for one of SA’s top female comedians and actresses as well as working on a range of creative projects and in-house shoots. Our team is young, entrepreneurial, and driven. We take risks, try new things, and get things done. Comedy is at the center of the work we produce.

This role requires a highly-motivated individual with in-depth social media and digital marketing skills. Basic graphic design and keynote knowledge is a plus. The right candidate is curious about all-things social media and online video and brings a wealth of innovative ideas to brand collaborations and original content. Additionally, he/she is extremely well-organized, detail-oriented, and has his/her finger on the pulse with regards to the latest trends in the digital landscape.

Job responsibilities (in a nutshell):

Acting as the PR person/key liaison for one of SA’s top female comedians and actresses.
Overseeing all incoming email requests as well as initiating and managing brand collaborations from the initial creative concepting and negotiation of rates, to pre-production planning, assisting on set, and handling the post-production process.
Social media and digital marketing for Sketchbook Studios and all of their social channels (including that of their characters). Basic design skills and social media best practices preferred. Knowledge of Youtube optimization is a plus.
Communication with agencies and VOD platforms in relation to commercials and content licensing/development of original content.
Managing and processing basic merchandise orders as well as helping with a range of creative studio projects as they arise.
