1: Credit Manager

Job Description

  • Responsible for the review and approval of commercial credit proposals, Credit assessment and credit worthiness of the customer.
  • Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
  • Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
  • File Verification in terms of established credit guidelines, process and approval, maintain a good balance between returns and risks exposure,
  • Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customers’ needs.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Market financial products to individuals and firms, promoting AFCL services that may meet customers’ needs.
  • Updating and submitting monthly data to credit bureau as per banking regulations, updating and preparing daily reports.
  • Ensure all regular monthly reporting is generated for management review.

2: Loan Recovery Officer

Job Description

  • Vehicle Recovery: Locate and recover vehicles from customers who have defaulted on their loan payments and work in shifts as required.
  • Critical Response: Remain vigilant and respond immediately and appropriately to any threat alerts, taking the necessary action on the ground.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations to determine the location of vehicles, which may include surveillance, interviews, and the review of public records.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all recovery activities, including dates, times, locations of recovered vehicles, and interactions with customers.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recovery and repossession activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, compliance requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, explaining the recovery process and their rights.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of team members and the public during recovery and repossession activities.
  • Loan Recovery: Perform assigned duties related to the collection and recovery of outstanding loan amounts and support Accounts Receivable collection efforts.
  • Bad Debt Recovery: Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with debtors and implement effective strategies to recover potential bad debts and loss amounts.
  • Restructuring: Prepare restructuring proposals for approval and assist in their implementation before a client becomes more than 90 days past due.
  • Repossessed Asset Management: Coordinate effectively with legal resources, repossession agencies, and asset resale channels to ensure timely recovery and disposal of repossessed assets. Ensure that Letters of Demand and Repossession Notices are issued promptly and that the repossession process is conducted in accordance with established procedures and company policies.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners, including collection agencies, repossession agents, and legal firms.

3: Sales & Marketing Executive

Job Description

  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and conduct market research on competitor products and services.
  • Design and implement marketing plans for company products in coordination with media representatives, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with dealers, suppliers, and the sales team to develop and execute targeted sales strategies.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding product specifications, features, benefits, and applications.
  • Promote and cross-sell Value-Added Product (VAP) solutions to existing and prospective customers.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to ensure the achievement of sales targets and business objectives.
  • Prepare and present accurate sales performance reports to management.
  • Take responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance of the business and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets in line with the Annual Business Plan.
  • Deliver proactive customer service by ensuring information is readily accessible and responsive to client needs.
  • Consistently pursue sales goals by overcoming challenges and adapting to changing market conditions.
  • Conduct product and service demonstrations, tailoring presentations to meet client requirements and management objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage client appointments, meetings, and follow-up communications effectively.
  • Develop and implement customer retention strategies, leveraging warranties, guarantees, and value-added services where applicable.
  • Analyze target markets and competitor activities to develop strategic customer engagement and business growth plans.
  • Conduct field investigations and contribute to the review, assessment, and approval of commercial credit proposals.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of various credit programs, while providing training and coaching to continuously enhance the competencies of team members.

4: Operations Manager

Job Description

Oversee and monitor daily operational activities across branches and departments to ensure efficiency, consistency, and service excellence.

Implement and maintain effective systems and processes for loan assessment, disbursement, collections, customer service delivery, and insurance claim management.

Regularly evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of operational systems and processes against organizational objectives and implement necessary improvements.

Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve workflow efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and minimize operational risks.

Contribute to system implementation projects, particularly the Loan Management System (LMS), by providing operational requirements, design inputs, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation reviews.

Conduct regular branch visits to assess operational performance, compliance, documentation standards, and customer service quality.

Support the development and execution of business expansion strategies, including the identification of new branch locations, readiness assessments, and the operational setup of new branches.

Translate strategic expansion goals into operational plans covering staffing, infrastructure, system readiness, and process rollouts for new locations.

Monitor branch performance against budgets and recommend interventions to improve productivity, efficiency, and market penetration.

Assist the Head of Operations and the CEO in the development, review, and implementation of operational policies, standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Identify areas requiring process improvement and implement enhanced procedures to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

Ensure the timely communication, training, and adoption of new and revised policies and SOPs across all branches and operational teams.

Track and analyze departmental performance using relevant KPIs and operational metrics, including documentation compliance, disbursement conversion rates, insurance claim turnaround times (TAT), and expansion targets.

Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports to the Head of Operations and senior management.

Assist in the preparation of management information packs, dashboards, and presentations for Board and Management Committee meetings.

Submit periodic operational reports and data returns to management and credit bureaus in compliance with Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulations and other applicable requirements.

5: Control Room Officer

Job Description

  • Check all newly installed GPS devices to ensure they are functioning properly and coordinate with the vendor or technical team for any issues.
  • Prepare daily reports on GPS installations, device inspections, and device replacements.
  • Monitor alerts and non-responsive devices in real time and coordinate with vendors or the field recovery team as required.
  • Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely rectification and root cause analysis of non-responsive GPS devices and other actionable vehicle alerts.
  • Immobilize vehicles when required, based on management requests or as per the SOP, where immobilizers are installed.
  • Provide support to technicians, supervisors, and the Unit Head whenever required.
  • Generate and submit periodic reports and control room-related reports as requested by the operations and management team.
  • Support field coordinators in the allocation of technicians and ensure smooth operational activities.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, flexible, and innovative approach while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Accompany technicians, GPS service providers, or recovery teams on field visits whenever required.
  • Conduct periodic visits to plants and vendor locations to ensure proper checks and balances and provide guidance on GPS-related matters.
  • Maintain records of all GPS devices and relays received and issued, and publish weekly status reports.
  • Create and manage geofencing for all vehicles and ensure that critical alerts and incidents are promptly reported to management.

6: Receptionist

Job Description

  • Make sure the office is open on time and necessary arrangement for office to functions are attended
  • Receiving and greeting customers and guiding them to the respective officer
  • Keeping record of all walk-in inquiries
  • Assist senior officers in their duties
  • Receiving and recording customer complaints in the register
  • Arranging for refreshments and or newspapers in the office
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the customer interactive areas
  • Receiving and answering calls from customers
  • Recording all customer inquiries over telephone line in the inquiry’s tracker
  • Responding to customers complaints and reporting to the respective officer for resolving and keeping in touch with
  • Follow up of all inquiries made over telephone line and convert prospects into customers and keeping a follow up on the sales
  • Reporting to the supervisor any complaint that he/ she cannot attend for immediate resolving
