Duties and Responsibilities
The Compliance Officer will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain the regulatory correspondence tracker and follow up on timely responses and submissions.
- Coordinate the accurate and timely submission of regulatory returns and reports.
- Monitor compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT), and Counter-Proliferation Financing (CPF) requirements, including customer screening and transaction monitoring.
- Coordinate compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor the implementation of the Bank’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework and related reporting obligations.
- Conduct periodic, risk-based compliance reviews across the Bank’s operations and branches.
- Track corrective actions arising from regulatory examinations and compliance reviews.
- Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate their implementation.
- Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to departments and branches.
- Identify, document, and escalate compliance breaches and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain the Bank’s policy register and coordinate the review and updating of policies.
- Assess regulatory compliance requirements for new products, services, and business processes.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
