Matric Points for University Entrance For the Students Who are desired to join University in South Africa you need to meet Requirements for getting Point score in your Matric ,This article explain exactly required point for each level.

Matric Points for University Entrance

at least 23 Points (This is a Bachelor’s Degree Pass)

at least 19 Points (This is a Diploma Pass).

How Are University Matric Points Calculated?

Table bellow explain on How you can calculate your Matric points From left side are percentage you have scored on your marked exam and right side is APS score

Percentages  (%)Codes (APS Score)
80 – 100 %7
70 – 79%6
60 – 69%5
50 – 59%4
40 – 49 %3
30 – 39%2
0 – 29%1

Below is another table with an example of how students marks look and their total APS Score:

Percentages  (%)Codes (APS Score)
80 % – English Home Language7
89 % – Mathematical Literacy7
90 % – Life Orientation7 (This usually does not count for most courses at university)
60 % – First Additional Language5
49 % – Business Studies3
30 % – Geography 2
20 % – History1
This student’s total APS Score is 32 Points.
