What is the SASSA R350 Grant?

The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 grant is financial assistance provided to unemployed South Africans who have no other source of income.

This grant helps cover:

  • Basic needs
  • Food expenses
  • Emergency support

Eligibility Criteria for SASSA R350 grant Application Online 

The eligibility criteria for the Sassa grant application are as follows:

  • This grant is for South African citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers, holders of special permits.
  • Applicants must be above 18 years old.
  • The applicant must be unemployed and have not any kind of income resource.
  • The person not receiving any social grant or any other unemployment insurance benefit.
  • Applicant must not be receiving a stipend from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.

Applicant should not be a resident in a government-funded or subsidized institution.

How to Fill the SASSA R350 Grant Form for a Successful Application

  1. Visit the SASSA Appeals Website:
    • Access the website specifically designed for grant reconsideration.Click Here

                srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/application/auth

    • Enter your mobile number to receive a one-time pin (OTP).
    • Enter the OTP to verify your identity.
    • Provide all the required details as prompted on the form.
    • Submit your reapplication and wait for a response. You can check your appeal status on the same site later.

Note that once your reconsideration is approved, there’s no need to reapply monthly.

Steps to Apply for SASSA application for R350 Online

  1. Online Application Process:
    • Begin by visiting the official SRD website or the Moya app.
    • Enter your mobile number, submit it, and then verify your identity using the OTP sent via SMS.
    • Agree to the terms after reading the permission document displayed on the screen.
    • Fill in your personal details for verification by the Department of Home Affairs.
    • Your reapplication will be processed upon successful verification.
