How to Appeal UNISA Application (Step-by-Step Guide) If you have faced rejection for your UNISA Application you don’t need to panic you have second Chance to Apply for an Appeal.

Who qualifies to appeal?

  • Applicants who were declined and have outstanding results.
  • Applicants who are writing or rewriting Matric.
  • Applicant who submitted some, but not all the necessary supporting documents (eg ID or passport), before the closing date for applications.

What documents must I submit when appealing?

Please submit the following documents as part of your appeal:

  • Higher certificate, diploma and degree certificate with your academic record.
  • A letter stating that the qualification is complete if the certificate has not yet been issued or if you owe fees from the previous institution.
  • A National Senior Certificate (Matric certificate). You must submit all the certificates if you rewrite Matric. If there has been a change in your Matric status (eg Diploma or Bachelor pass), a combined Matric certificate that reflects the new status must accompany your application.
  • An academic record/transcript that was not previously submitted.
  • Any other supporting documents related to your appeal.
  • Postgraduate applicants must submit a detailed motivation.

How to appeal the rejected application to Unisa?

Here are some general steps you can follow to help guide you through the appeal process

  • Visit the official website of UNISA.
  • Click on “Apply.”
  • Once the page opens, enter the year you are looking to enroll and whether you are a new student or a returning student.
  • Move to step number 4 on the menu section, which reads “Apply for admission.”
  • Click “Apply Now.”
  • Select the qualification you are looking to appeal, upload the required documents, and choose the status Appeal.”
  • Enter your student’s number in the box.
  • Click Continue to proceed.
  • Fill in your personal details, which include your name and date of birth, and click continue.
  • Provide reasons for your motivation for this appeal and provide information about the relevant spaces.
  • Click next to accept the terms and agreement.
  • Finally, click submit to submit your appeal.
  • You will receive a confirmation on the submission of the appeal.

You could also send a letter of protest to UNISA. Here are some steps to take:

  • Write a message to the UNISA Admissions Office in a formal style.
  • Say that you disagree with the choice to turn down your application.
  • Explain why you think the choice was wrong or didn’t make sense.
  • Give any other information that you think will help your case.
  • You can email or mail the letter to the UNISA Admissions Office.

What To Do If Your Unisa Application Is Rejected
