The Gauteng Department of e-Government Team up with Netcampus to Announce the Opening of Application window for Data Analysis Skills Training Programme for the Academic year 2026.

About Gauteng Department of e-Government

The key role of the Gauteng Department of e-Government is the roll-out of a network infrastructure that will connect government facilities, including schools, hospitals, offices and economic zones. It endevours to: create an enabling platform and support service; enable GCR entities to deliver e-Government Services; establish a GCR e-Government governance structure to drive priorities, policies, standards and regulations; promote the usage of e-Government services; stimulate the ICT economy through facilitating incubation and innovation; and encourage public and private partnerships for the development and roll-out of e-Government services.

Skills Participants Will Learn

Data Collection and Data Cleaning

Data analysts spend a large portion of their time preparing datasets for analysis.

You will learn how to:

Training Programme Structure

The programme is divided into two structured phases.

Phase 1: 100% Online Training

All participants will begin the programme with online foundational training.

This stage will focus on:

Participants only need:

  • Internet access
  • A smartphone, tablet, or laptop

This phase ensures that everyone starts with a strong understanding of data fundamentals.

After Phase 1, the top 50 performers will be selected for advanced in-person training.

Classroom training will take place at:

  • Netcampus Fourways
  • Netcampus Centurion

During this stage, participants will:

  • Receive advanced training
  • Work on practical analytics projects
  • Prepare for the Microsoft Data Analyst certification exam

Transportation details will be provided to selected participants.

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between 18 and 34 years old
  • Must reside in Gauteng
  • Must have completed Grade 12

Importantly, no previous IT or data analytics experience is required.
