How to Update/change your username on CUNYfirst portal

For any name change, CUNY demands LEGAL proof. You must provide two (2) different forms of pertinent documentation.

A marriage certificate, passport, birth certificate, social security card, divorce judgment, or court order must be one type of documents.

A photo ID is required as the second piece of documentation.

First, alter your desired name on CUNY.

Go to the student center for CUNY login.
Register with your account.
