About Bophelong Construction Learnership Programme

The Bophelong Learnership Programme 2026 is designed to provide participants with a combination of theoretical training and practical work experience. The aim is to equip learners with industry-relevant skills that improve employability and prepare them for careers in construction and technical trades.

Learnerships are part of South Africa’s national skills development initiatives, which aim to reduce unemployment and address skills shortages in key sectors like construction.

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Must be unemployed

  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old

  • Must have Grade 10, Grade 11, or Grade 12 (varies by intake)

  • Must be physically fit for construction work

  • Must be willing to learn and work in a team
