West Coast College Open window for South African TVET Colleges students to Apply for Funded Services SETA TVET WIL Internship Programme for the Academic year 2026.

West Coast College is a Technical Vocational Education and Training College (TVET) where you will gain a meaningful qualification to gain access to the world of work, become an entrepreneur or enter university, depending on subject choices. The college offers integrated theoretical and practical experience and exposure to your chosen programme. It provides you with an opportunity to make a career change with the skills you gain.

About the 2026 TVET WIL Internship Programme

The WIL internship at West Coast College is a structured work-based learning programme that allows NCV Level 4 graduates to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical work settings. Participants will complete the Workplace Experience component of their qualification under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining essential skills that enhance employability and career readiness.

The SERVICES SETA-funded WIL programme allows qualifying learners to:

  • Gain structured workplace experience
  • Meet graduation requirements

  • Strengthen professional confidence

Only 50 students will be selected, making this a highly competitive but valuable opportunity.

Minimum Application Requirements

West Coast College invites applications from students who:

  • Have passed NCV Level 4
  • Have never participated in a funded internship programme before
  • Require workplace experience to complete their qualification

This specifically targets students who are academically qualified but still unemployed due to lack of practical exposure.

Programme Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents in one combined PDF file:

  • A detailed CV with two contactable references and valid email address
  • Certified copy of South African ID
  • Certified copies of NCV Level 4 results or certificates
  • SAPS affidavit confirming unemployment and no previous funded programme participation
  • SARS tax reference document
  • Bank confirmation letter
  • Host employer confirmation letter (if currently volunteering without stipend)

Important Note

If you already have a host employer willing to provide workplace experience, confirmation from that employer must be included in your application documents.
