The University of Toronto has a very competitive admissions process. A high grade point average throughout high school and strong test results on the SAT I (Reasoning) or ACT are requirements for applicants.

The most common reasons for not being admitted to the University of Toronto:
- your overall average, or grades in prerequisite subjects, are not competitive.
- you did not present a senior level/Grade 12 English course for admission consideration.
- you did not present a senior level/Grade 12 course in all prerequisite subjects required for the program(s) you applied to.
- you have repeated an unacceptable number of courses for the program(s) you have selected.
- you have an insufficient number of available courses at the time of consideration.
- you applied to a program that does not accept applicants with post-secondary studies.
- English language requirement (if applicable) was not met by the deadline.
- supplementary information (if required) was not submitted or was not competitive.

The University of Toronto is a publicly-funded institution, and because of that, it cannot offer financial aid to international students.
Eligible high school students are automatically considered for various admission scholarships when they apply to the University.
Some admissions scholarships require a separate application and others that require you to complete an awards profile.
Note, however, that the value of scholarships is rarely sufficient to cover all costs the student will incur while attending the University of Toronto.

You’ll need UOFT ACORN to enroll in your courses, view your personal course schedule, update your address, check your grades and other academic information, view your fees account, request graduation, order transcripts, print tax forms, etc.
