Position Summary:

The YOLO & ChommY M&E Data Manager’s overall focus is to plan, manage and support the capture of data necessary for compliance with USAID and GCBS requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support to the Performance M&E Advisor to develop, review and quality assure the data collection tools
  • Test and pilot of tools
  • Refine tools based on outcome of pilot
  • Train implementing partners (NPOs) in the use of tools
  • Distribution of tools to NPOs
  • Mentor and support NPOs to collect quality data
  • Support to facilitators to complete tools and to submit complete packages to the principal for data capture
  • Verify the data collected
  • Train data capturers on the use of the electronic system of Masterfile, CBIMS and Epi Info
  • Manage data capturers
  • Quality assure data captured and cleaned
  • Collate data and produce the necessary disaggregated information

Education and Experience Required

  • Minimum qualification – post graduate qualification in project management; research methods; statistics; M&E or similar field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management; research methods; statistics; M&E or similar field
  • Experience with project management including staff capacity development; qualitative and quantitative data management including supervision of data collectors and capturers; and reporting writing;
