The social and economic impact brought about by the natives land act of 1913
Every native South African up to this point has suffered irreversible harm as a result of the indigenous land legislation of 1913. This law was designed to completely bar black people from owning or occupying land other than as servants to their white masters. Because to this, 87 percent of South Africa’s land is still owned by white people. Black people were forced to compete for what was remained as a result, which is still the case today.

- Black citizens were forced to become migrant labourers
- Black people were left with dry land where it is impossible to farm
- Black people were forced to work for white man
- Black people were pushed away from fertile land
- Black people became poor.
- Black family structure was disturbed as men were forced to leave their families and look for work from the white people
