About Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education has responsibility for the management of all public Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE), Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education institutions and oversight of all private education institutions in Trinidad and Tobago (in conjunction with the Tobago House of Assembly’s Education, Research and Technology Division).
Conveniently located on lower St. Vincent Street, downtown Port of Spain, the Ministry is a one-stop hub for all education-related matters. The Ministry’s head office is comprised of two structures: Tower A, which has sixteen floors that houses its administrative operations and Tower B, a five-storey building that houses the Finance and Accounts Division. With most of its customer-accessed services located in Tower A, including a dedicated customer service area, stakeholders have ready access to all of their information needs.

Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC)
CSEC subjects are examined for certification at the General and Technical Proficiencies. The General and Technical Proficiencies provide students with the foundation for further studies and entry to the workplace.

Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)
The Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) is designed to provide certification of the academic, vocational and technical achievement of students in the Caribbean who, having completed a minimum of five years of secondary education, wish to further their studies. The examinations address the skills and knowledge acquired by students under a flexible and articulated system where subjects are organized in 1-Unit or 2-Unit courses with each Unit containing three Modules. Subjects examined under CAPE may be studied concurrently or singly.

when are the SEA results coming out 2024
According to the Ministry of Education publishes “SEA Guidelines”, Students who are in Standard Five and age is below 15 are eligible to write the SEA examination.
Every year the Minister of Education used to announce the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) results dates and when it is likely to be delivered to schools for students. On the same day, the authority also published the top students’ names list.
After the official announcement of SEA results, the packages will be available to all primary school principals for collection at their respective Education District Offices. These results are expected to be released in schools from approximately 4 working days from the official release date.
Students/Parents will receive a Student’s Performance Report, Placement Slip, and the SEA Information Booklet containing “Frequently Asked Questions” on SEA. This booklet can also be accessed on the Ministry’s website at
This year a total of twenty thousand students likely to appear in 2024. The SEA Results : Trinidad Online is likely to be published in either at the end of June or 1st week of July.
