Role overview
As an Operations Lead for the Polio Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Project, you will provide leadership in coordinating support activities to ensure effective operations are in place in multiple project locations across the continent.
You will research and identify appropriate VSO operating options for each priority country in advance and secure this in coordination with the People Lead, VSO Finance and the Legal Counsel.
You will identify and engage (where needed) business visa service providers and ensure that all team members receive what they require to work in each priority country in advance of approved travel plans.
Skills, qualifications and experience
•Significant experience in operations/logistics, event or travel planning or similar activities in multicultural environments, including diplomatic and internal relations
•Fluency in both written and spoken English and French (bilingual English/French speaker)
•Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to inspire a team with a vision
•Excellent inter-personal and representational skills to influence a diverse range of stakeholders and be a credible reference point.
•Ability to build strong working relationships, gaining trust and mutual respect; being flexible, responding to perspectives and being assertive when appropriate.
