Annual Teaching Plans are offered for each grade level in the South African Curriculum, from Foundation Phase to FET Grades. They can be obtained on the website of the Department of Basic Education.

What are Annual Teaching Plans?

Annual teaching plans are divided into subjects and are available in all 11 of South Africa’s official languages. Once downloaded, they go over what has to be covered for that subject each year.

Each Annual Teaching Schedule includes a weekly plan for each term, as well as essential concepts, skills, and values to be taught. It is essentially a roadmap to what each learner should be able to do by the conclusion of the semester.
