Funds should be available within a maximum of 14 working days from the time a study fee account is debited with Intellimali transaction, monthly living allowance of R290. 00 will be transferred on the 1st of each month and students can expect to have the funds available in their account within 24 hours.

Your funds should be available to you within a maximum of 7 working days from the time that we receive an instruction to pay it from the institution.

A book allowance of R5,200. A living allowance of R15,000. A personal care allowance of R2,900.

NSFAS allowances will be paid during the first week of each month over a period of 10 months.

If you qualify according to the means test, NSFAS will only support you for a maximum of five years, based on the availability of funding in each year. If you change your course frequently and you take longer than five years to complete your qualification, you will have to pay for yourself until you graduate.

Students can get this card for free. It costs nothing to activate it, and they can use the Intellicard login details to withdraw funds.
