How to Remove a Watermark in CapCut

How to Remove a Watermark in CapCut You probably use the CapCut video editing program if you edit videos on TikTok frequently. The watermark, a feature of the software, is irksome, especially if you wish to add your name to the video.
How to Get Rid of the CapCut Watermark

Fortunately, getting rid of the watermark is a rather simple procedure. We will provide you with all the information you require in this post.

How to Remove the Watermark at the End of the Video in CapCut

There are two types of watermarks in the CapCut app: one in the templates and one at the end of the videos. The first type of CapCut watermark refers to the two-second segment at the end of the video that shows the CapCut logo and your choice of text if you wish to add one. This type is easier to remove.

Here are the steps:

  1. Launch the CapCut app on your phone.
  2. Add a new project by clicking on “New project.”
  3. Once you’re in the editing space, slide the video to the right to reach the ending segment, which is automatically added. It’s separate from the video you uploaded, which makes the removal easier.
  4. Select the ending segment and tap “Delete” at the bottom of the screen. Unlike the rest of the video, you can only delete the ending clip.
  5. Now, you can continue editing the rest of the video.
  6. When you finish, export the video by clicking on the arrow pointing upwards in the top right corner of the screen. Next, upload it to TikTok, share it on your other social media accounts, or just save it to your device by clicking “Done.”

How to Add a CapCut Watermark in a Recorded Video

If you’re choosing to record the video instead of uploading a completed video, the ending clip won’t be automatically added to the video. However, you can add the ending yourself in a similar way.

Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Open the CapCut app on your phone.
  2. Click on the “Camera” icon in the top left corner.
  3. Tap the circle at the bottom to record either one shot or multiple clips.
  4. Tap the checkmark in the bottom right corner to go to the next step.
  5. Now, you’ll be able to see the video you recorded. Click “Edit” in the bottom left corner.
  6. Slide the video to the right and tap “Add ending” to get the CapCut watermark.
  7. Continue editing the video and export it to your chosen social media account at the end.

How to Remove a Watermark from a Template in CapCut

The second type of watermark is the CapCut logo in the corner of the video when you use a template from the app. It might ruin the aesthetics of your video, so it’s always good to know how to remove it.

Follow these steps to remove the watermark from a template.

  1. Open the CapCut app on your phone.
  2. Click on the “Templates” button, which is between “Edit” and “Camera” in the center of your phone screen.
  3. Choose a template.
  4. Here you’ll have the video you chose when you first saved it from TikTok. To adjust, crop, or replace it with another clip, simply click on it. You can also click on “Go to project” to access the rest of CapCut’s editing features.
  5. Once you finish editing the video, click “Export” in the top right corner.
  6. You’ll be offered the option to export the video or export it to TikTok without a watermark. Click “Export without watermark.”
  7. You’ll be directed to your TikTok account and can continue editing the video if necessary.

Note: If you don’t have TikTok installed on your phone, the video will be saved to your Gallery without the watermark.

How to Add Templates from TikTok

When you first install the CapCut app, you’ll probably see that the “Templates” section is empty. You can find some simple templates in the “Stock” section, but they won’t have a watermark. However, the best way to increase your template collection is by going to TikTok and seeing which ones are popular or finding the ones you personally like.

  1. Find a video on TikTok with “CapCut” written above the video’s description.
  2. Click on the “Try this template” button.
  3. Tap “Use Template in CapCut.”
  4. Next, click “Use template.”
  5. If you’re planning to make a video immediately, you can select videos you’d like to use the chosen template on. Otherwise, which video you choose isn’t important because you can always change it later.
  6. Click “Preview” and wait for the effect to load.
  7. If you’re planning to post a video right away, you can adjust, crop, or replace it with another clip or go to the project and access all the editing options.
  8. Once you finish editing the video, click “Export” in the top right corner.
  9. You’ll be offered the option to export the video or export it to TikTok without a watermark. Click “Export without watermark.”
  10. You’ll be taken to your TikTok account and can continue editing the video further if you want to post the current video.
  11. To simply save the template to CapCut without posting the video, exit TikTok, and you’ll be redirected back to CapCut.

You can also access some of the popular templates by clicking on “Autocut” at the top of the screen and choosing a video. CapCut will analyze the clip and add a template itself, but you can always change the video by editing the project further.

How to Use Stock Video Templates

As mentioned, you can also combine stock video templates with your own clips, which are watermark-free. There are fewer options and applying them can be tricky.

Follow these steps to use Stock video templates with your videos:

  1. To access stock videos on CapCut, click on “New project” first.
  2. Add a clip from your Gallery that will be the base of the video.
  3. Once you’re in the editing section, click “Overlay.”
  4. Next, select “Add overlay.”
  5. Now you can choose another clip from your own album or click on “Stock videos” at the top of the screen.
  6. Choose the overlay video and click “Add.” Since most of them come in horizontal and vertical versions, try to choose the one that fits your video’s format.
  7. Position the overlay video as you want and click “Blend.”
  8. Choose which level of transparency you want for the overlay clip unless you want it to be fully opaque.
  9. Export the video by clicking on the arrow pointing upwards in the top right corner.
  10. You can share it to TikTok, another social media account, or just save it to your device by clicking “Done.”
