How SASSA Verifies Bank Details For R350 Grant Applications
How SASSA Verifies Bank Details For R350 Grant Applications It’s possible that certain SRD SASSA applicants were delayed in having their bank information verified. Insights into the duration and phases of this procedure have now been provided by SASSA.
Bank verification is one process used to examine SRD grant applications. The SASSA responded to applicants who complained that the procedure seemed to be taking too long.
An applicant complained about SASSA on social media, claiming that the bank verification procedure has now taken a week and that SASSA should be fired “Do you not see the urgency? Why aren’t we given priority? Seeing as how you put the waggon before the horse?”.
In response, SASSA said:
There is no predetermined time limit for the bank verification procedure.
The way this process operates is that the applicant’s information is transmitted to the Treasury Department and the particular bank they choose.
After the information is confirmed, it is sent back to Treasury and then sent to SASSA so that payment can take place.
When you check the status of your SASSA R350 award, if you read “Bank details waiting,” it signifies that your initial application or reapplication has been accepted. You haven’t provided your bank information or any choices regarding how your R350 award payment should be made, though.
