History Grade 11 ATP: Annual Teaching Plan and Teacher’s Guide 2023 A Department of Basic Education (DBE) Annual Teaching Plan (ATP) gives instructors implementation instructions and required basic content and abilities to teach.
What’s the ATP?

In South Africa, the DBE provides Annual Teaching Plans for CAPS teachers. These publications outline subject- and grade-specific fundamental knowledge and abilities.

Annual Teaching Plans are offered for every Grade from Foundation Phase to FET. They’re on DBE’s website.
What do ATPs cover?

The 11 official languages of South Africa have subject-specific annual teaching plans. Once downloaded, they review yearly subject requirements.

Each Annual Teaching Plan includes a weekly plan for each term with fundamental concepts, skills, and values. It’s a blueprint for what each student should know by term’s conclusion.
