Explaining how to improve self-esteem in two paragraphs

Explaining how to improve self-esteem in two paragraphs On this page, we go into greater detail about ways to raise self-esteem. You must first comprehend what self-esteem is and its causes. Whether or not the situation you find yourself in is hostile, self-esteem has everything to do with how you feel about and respect yourself as a person.

Ways to Improve your self-esteem

Improving your self-esteem can be done in two broad approaches: becoming more aware of the negative thinking patterns, and controlling your thoughts.

Becoming more aware of the negative thinking patterns

Becoming more aware of the negative thinking patterns simply means being in the present and becoming more conscious of what you are thinking about. The mind by its nature just keeps on going on and on thinking 1000 things at a time. Most of what the mind think about by default, tend to lean towards the negative side of things. This then brings much fear, anxiety, frustrations, and low self-esteem. Unless you become more aware of your thoughts, you become more like a paper thrown in the rive. The paper goes wherever the wind blows and where the water flows.

Controlling your thoughts consiously

As humans, we have the capabilities of taking control of our thoughts and decide what to think about consciously. For example, you can now consciously start to think about a very delicious meal that you would like to eat one day. If you spend more than a minute thinking about how it looks, how it smells, and how it tastes on your mouth, your mouth automatically starts to salivate. Now, using the very same example, you can consciously start to think and imagine yourself as a great confident person who has very high self-esteem. If you spend a minute visualising the greater confident image of yourself, displaying admirable confidence, you will by default start to feel confident.
