Teachers using the CAPS curriculum in South Africa have access to Annual Teaching Plans from the Department for Basic Education (DBE). These publications outline the essential knowledge and abilities for each subject and grade.

Every Grade in the South African Curriculum, from Foundation Phase through the FET Grades, has an annual teaching plan available. They are available on the website of the Department of Basic Education.
What are covered by annual teaching plans?

There are subject-based annual lesson plans available in each of South Africa’s 11 official languages. After downloading, they review the annual requirements for that subject.

Every annual teaching plan includes a weekly schedule for every term that details the essential knowledge, abilities, and morals that must be imparted. In essence, it serves as a roadmap for what each student ought to be able to do by the conclusion of the semester.
