Cambridge International AS and A Level Mathematics – Further (9231) Notes

A set of transferrable abilities are expanded and developed in Cambridge International A Level Further Mathematics. These include the aptitude for working with mathematical data, as well as the capacity for logical, autonomous thought, taking into account precision, modeling circumstances numerically, analyzing outcomes, and reflecting on discoveries.

Students can use these abilities in a variety of academic areas, and they are well-equipped to move on to further education or to the workforce right away. Some universities require AS or A Level Further Mathematics or an equivalent qualification from applicants for degrees in mathematics and mathematical/scientific fields.

This curriculum is designed for students with high aptitude who have or are anticipated to receive a high grade on the Cambridge International A Level Mathematics test. It is assumed that the student is familiar with the entire Cambridge International A Level Mathematics curriculum. The additional time spent studying Further Mathematics will help learners understand A Level Mathematics, they will discover.

Please take note that Cambridge International AS Level Further Mathematics will be offered starting in 2020. The AS Level can be taken as a stand-alone qualification or during the midpoint of an A Level.
