Naming and Explaining 3 Elements of Social Justice
Naming and Explaining 3 Elements of Social Justice We shall identify and describe three aspects of social justice on this page: People with fewer options (the poor and disadvantaged) frequently suffer the most from discrimination (e.g., based on race, religion, gender, culture, ability, or age), as well as from a lack of recognition of their human rights, access to services (e.g., health, educational), and infrastructure. Social justice can be defined as a process to address this situation (e.g. water, energy, housing).
Empowering those groups of the population who were previously denied their rights due to ignorance and lack of education is essential for achieving social justice.
Three elements of Social Justice
- A duty of the State to distribute certain vital means (such as economic, social, and cultural rights),
- The protection of human dignity, and
- Affirmative actions to promote equal opportunities for everybody.
