Your feelings, what you believe and your attitude are all part of who you are. If you communicate your feelings and show your humanity, then people can understand you better. Effective communication of feelings could help you to prevent emotional stress in the following ways:
- When you communicate, you should express your feelings, beliefs and attitudes, but avoid imposing or forcing them on others. When you impose your attitude and view you create emotional stress for yourself and others.
- When you communicate, have a positive ttitude and values. For an example, If you think you are beter than others, it will negatively affect your communication. If you think that only your ideas, beliefs and values are right and you do not show respect, you cause emotional stress to yourself and others.
- When you communicate, you should accept responsibilities and stay accountably to your actions. Effective communication can only happen where there is trust, reliability and responsibility, therefore avoiding emotional stress to yourself and others.
- Communicating effectively means respecting the feelings of others. When you show respect for the feeling of others, they will show respect for you and your feelings.
