The National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) is a corporate body established by the National Council for Technical Education Act, 1997 (Act No. 9 of 1997). The Act provides a legal framework for the Council to  coordinate provision of technical education and training and establish an efficient national qualifications system that will ensure that products from technical institutions are of high quality and respond to changing needs as well as technological innovations in the world.

Technical education in this context is defined as “education and training undertaken by students to equip them to play roles requiring higher levels of skills, knowledge and understanding and in which they take responsibility for their areas of specialization”. NACTE is thus, a multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral body empowered to oversee and coordinate the provision of technical education and training in Tanzania.

NACTE Online Application for 2023/24

In June every year the NACTVET Open the window for student to do Admission, this include Form four and form sex level who failed to Qualified to study for Bachelor degree.

So they can study in certificate or Diploma level in Universities, College or Institute who offer various programs.

NACTE Entry Requirements -NACTVET?

Because they are unaware of the requirements for admission, many applicants to government colleges under NACTE are not chosen.

In order to be selected by NACTE you may need to have Four Passes in Certificate of Form four secondary education level (CSEE) excluded passes in Religion subjects.

But there is program that tend to get high number of Applicants so the competitions will be to high, You need to have high pass mark in order to win this competition especially in Health and Allied courses.

NACTE Online Application System is for prospective students to log on and complete the application process for Certificates and Diploma Courses.

Candidates who wish to apply for admission into the programmes mentioned above should follow the steps:

1. Visit NACTE Admission Portal: https://www.nacte.go.tz/index.php/online-admission/
2. On the Admission Portal, Select your choice of programme.
3. Complete the application form provided on the portal.
4. Navigate and click on ‘SUBMIT’
