About Letaba TVET College

Letaba TVET College is situated in Mopani District Municipality, Limpopo Province. It has a central office and four campuses namely

The Central Office shares premise with Tzaneen campus; Maake Campus is 24 km while Giyani campus is 112 km and Modjadji campus is 24 km away from the Central Office.

The College is currently offering programmes, which are addressing the main economic drivers. In 2021, the College introduced Farming Management at Maake Campus and Mechanical engineering at Giyani Campus.

The College has also partnered with private training providers to offer the much-needed skills through occupational programmes in Plant Production, Poultry Production, Food beverage packaging operations, Building and Civil Construction and Electrical Engineering.

CHIETA Painter Learnership Programme

One of the opportunities currently open for application is the CHIETA-funded Painter Learnership Programme.

This programme is specifically designed to train individuals in painting and surface finishing within the chemical and manufacturing sectors.

FP&M SETA ARPL Trade Programme

The second opportunity is the 2026 ARPL Programme funded by FP&M SETA.

ARPL stands for Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning, which is designed for individuals who already have work experience in a trade but do not yet have formal certification.

This programme allows experienced workers to obtain recognition for their existing skills.

Duration: 4 months
Number of Positions: 100
Placement Location: Across Limpopo Province

Participants will undergo assessments and structured training to help them formalise their skills and progress toward artisan certification.

Requirements for the ARPL Programme

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • South African citizen
    • Relevant work experience in the trade being applied for
    • At least three years of industry experience
    • Ability to provide supporting documents and references

Applicants must submit:

  • Fully completed standardised ARPL application form
    • Detailed CV
    • Certified copies of qualifications
    • Certified ID copy
    • Testimonials from employers confirming trade experience

These testimonials must be written on company letterheads and clearly describe the work experience gained in the specific trade.

Important Conditions for Both Programmes
