Job Position: Contracts Specialist (1 position)
Office Location: Kilombero, Morogoro
Reports To: Procurement & Inventory Manager
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be accountable for local procurement contracts that are compliant to Group category plans and maximizing contract buying for local purchases.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and recommend the Country Procurement Category Strategy that factors group category plans and maximum local contract buying.
- Ensure group negotiated contracts are executed (compliance) and feed into country team opportunities to leverage value.
- Lead the local suppliers’ selection process and quotations with input from users including the capex projects to be sourced locally.
- Establish/Identify supplier performance management mechanisms Adopt & embed best practices, enablers, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology shared by Group Procurement.
- Manage key contracts, resolving supplier concerns / contractual issues / review contractual obligations of the suppliers via KPIs / SLAs written within the contracts (global and local).
- Use analytical data and insights to partner with various stakeholders to forecast, develop, and implement demand plans.
- Obtain up-to-date management information by vendor to analyse spend and identify trends and potential savings opportunities.
- Input into cost reduction / optimisation opportunities within the category and local based on outcome of spend analysis.
- Partner with various stakeholders for positive and strategic relationships.
- Ensure governance and compliance to procurement controls and standards.
Job Qualification and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or relevant qualification
- Minimum of 5 years in procurement, purchasing, tendering or contract Management experience
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Ability to engage, manage, partner with stakeholders at all levels.
Terms Of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent contract.

Reports To: Business Improvement Head
Job Purpose
The successful incumbent will define, implement, and drive the Country’s effectiveness agenda, linked to the organisation’s key strategic imperatives. They will also drive the enablement of sustainable organisational capabilities, systemic implementation of change and continuous improvement to optimise business performance. The role will also focus on customer service, employee engagement and growth.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute organisational effectiveness strategy, plans and communications
- Support execution of strategic projects in-Country by managing people change
- Optimise resources, work processes, roles, interfaces and ways of working across the business.
- Facilitate development of an optimisation mind-set across the value chain
- Define and implement Country effectiveness / change management agenda, linked to key strategic imperatives including transition to new Business Enablement Programs.
- Support achievement of Country full potential performance through implementation of initiatives, enablers and tracking of performance metrics
- Champion change and continuous improvement efforts in a planned, systematic way through Results Delivery Office (RDO) ways of working (tooling)
- Build sustainable organisational capabilities in design, change management and continuous improvement
Job Qualification and Experience
- Industrial Psychology or Commerce Degree
- At least five (5) years’ experience and knowledge of Organisational Effectiveness / Change Management, with a track record of successful change initiatives
