About CCBRT
CCBRT (Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare and rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities in Tanzania. Founded in 1994,  CCBRT operates as a specialized disability hospital and a development organization, working towards empowering people with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Located in Dar es Salaam, CCBRT is one of the largest providers of disability and rehabilitation services in Tanzania. The organization offers a wide range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and maternal and newborn healthcare. Additionally, CCBRT provides specialized rehabilitation services to help individuals with disabilities regain independence and improve their quality of life. One of CCBRT’s key initiatives is its Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program, which aims to extend its services beyond the hospital setting and reach communities throughout Tanzania. Supported by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, volunteers, and donors, CCBRT continues to make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of individuals with disabilities in Tanzania, providing them with the necessary medical care, rehabilitation, and support to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
