Banyan Global is recruiting a Finance and Administration (F&A) Manager for an anticipated monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) platform for the USAID Mission in Tanzania. The F&A Manager will work closely with the Chief of Party to oversee contract operations, including financial management, human resources, procurement, and logistics. The position is full-time, based in Dar es Salaam and is contingent on funding. Citizens of Tanzania are encouraged to apply.
- Develop a USAID compliant Financial Management and Reporting system.
- Develop internal financial control measures for the award.
- Support the preparation and submission of monthly invoices and other financial reports as required and oversee USAID-required audits.
- Produce financial and budget reports, develop procedures and guidelines for all activities, monitor project budgets, maintain accurate financial records on project activities, and monitor transactions to ensure compliance with USAID regulations;
- Oversee recruitment of local staff and consultants and work with Banyan Global HQ and local labor lawyers to ensure HR processes and protocols comply with Banyan Global HR policies and local employment law;
- Lead the development of an employee handbook for the contract;
- Train project staff on relevant policies and procedures; and
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or similar field of study;
- Progressive demonstrated experience supervising project operations, including human resources, procurement, subcontracts or sub-awards, and accounting/finance;
- Demonstrated ability for developing and managing large budgets, and in-depth knowledge of USG Cost Accounting Standards; and
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to work well on a team.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience with USAID projects in Tanzania.
Banyan Global is recruiting a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor for the anticipated Learning to Perform Activity for the USAID Mission in Malawi. The Senior M&E Advisor will support a range of activities related to performance monitoring, evaluations, assessments, and research. The position is full-time and based in Lilongwe, Malawi and is contingent on funding. Citizens of Malawi are encouraged to apply.
- Liaise with USAID/Malawi and develop rapid responses to requests for monitoring, evaluation, and research activities;
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring all approaches employ rigorous methods and high-quality, state-of-the-art practices;
- Maintain technical oversight of staff, consultants, subcontractors, data-collectors, and other technical specialists tasked in developing high-quality monitoring, evaluation, and research findings;
- Ensure high quality throughout monitoring, evaluation and research activities including the design of activities, development of data collection instruments, data collection, data analysis, and the presentation of findings;
- Serve as the principal investigator or a key evaluation team member for strategic evaluations and research;
- Lead meta-evaluations and meta-analyses across multiple sectors, development objectives, evaluations, assessments, research, and high-level monitoring;
- Design and develop field data validation plans and appropriate methodologies and instruments and conduct and/or oversees corresponding data analysis;
- Support the collection, cleaning, coding, and analyzing of data for evaluations, assessments, and other analytical activities;
- Test data reliability and validity, including conducting Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) of USAID Activities;
- Facilitate MEL trainings for Mission staff, IPs, and other partners;
- Oversee support for data management, GIS services, and knowledge management,
- Maintain strong networks with the M&E community in Malawi, and
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as monitoring and evaluation, data science, statistics, development studies/affairs, and social sciences
- At least eight years of experience working in M&E, preferably on USAID or other donor-funded awards in Malawi;
- Professional experience in at least one of the following thematic areas democracy and governance, positive youth development, economic growth, health, education, and gender and social inclusion.
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative analytical software packages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated familiarity with ADS 201, and
- Experience working for USAID or on a USAID-funded award.
Job position : Tanzania MEL Chief of Party
Banyan Global is recruiting a Chief of Party for an anticipated Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) platform for USAID/Tanzania. The Chief of Party will be responsible for the technical, contractual, and financial compliance and performance of services delivered under the award. The position is full-time, based in Dar es Salaam, and contingent on funding.
Lead all project planning, implementation, and evaluation;

- Serve as the primary point of contact with and represent the project to USAID, implementing partners, host country officials, and other relevant stakeholders;

- Proactively identify resources required by the project, including consultants and subcontractors, and develop scopes of work for the same;
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of all contract deliverables and work products;
- Directly or indirectly supervise all project staff and consultants;
- Ensure adherence to all relevant USG, Banyan Global, and host country rules, regulations, and laws, including those related to procurement and labor and employment; and
- Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- At least 15 years of professional experience in international development, including overseas leadership positions;
- At least eight years of experience related to monitoring, evaluation, and learning;

- Previous Chief of Party experience or equivalent (e.g., Team Leader, Country Director) on a USAID-funded award;
- Demonstrated familiarity with USAID’s Program Cycle, monitoring and evaluation requirements, and collaborating, learning, and adapting principles; and
- Graduate degree in relevant field.
