How to Apply For R350 Grant Reconsideration

How to Apply For Sassa R350 Grant Reconsideration Why would an application need to be reconsidered? Either SASSA is required to reconsider suspending/canceling existing grants, or applicants request reconsideration within 90 days if their initial application is rejected.

Requirements for Sassa Reconsideration Appeal

  • Ensure your Eligibility: You need to make sure that you are fulfilling all the application criteria for the Sassa grants. If you are not aware of the criteria then here is the detailed guide on Sassa grant application criteria that you can check.
  • Get Ready with All the Required Documents: Your personal information such as proof of address, banking details, and personal ID documents is very necessary. So make sure that you prepare all the required documents before going for reconsideration.
  • Know the Reason for Previous Application Decline: You should also be aware of the reason the application was declined. If it is declined due to verification failure then you need to provide all of your verification documents.

Important of Sassa grant Reconsideration

Every applicant has unique reasons to request an application for reconsideration. Some of them may include:

  • Incorrect information: If any applicant has forwarded incorrect information, he can use reconsideration and provide the correct information. This may include entering an incorrect ID number, misspelled name, or inaccurate income details.
  • Missing information: If you have missed the required documents during the initial application, you can use the reconsideration option and submit them. This may include missing proof of residence, incomplete bank statements, or medical reports.
  • Change in circumstances: You can also forward Sassa’s reconsideration application if your financial situation has changed since your initial application. This may include loss of employment, unexpected medical expenses, change in dependency status.

Steps to Apply for Sassa SRD Reapplication

There 3 method of Applying your sassa grant R350 Reapplications

  1. Apply Online on the Sassa website
  2. Apply in person
  3. Apply via WhatsApp

1) Apply Online at srd.sassa.gov.za /sc19/reconsideration

In this way, you do not need to move anywhere as you can apply online. All you will need is a smartphone, PC, or laptop and a good internet connection.

  1. Open the website https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/reconsideration.
  2. Now provide your South African ID number and mobile phone number to login into your account.
  3. You will receive an OTP or PIN on your phone that you need to provide to verify your mobile phone number.
  4. Now you can apply for reconsideration and submit all the required documents as well.

2) Sassa Appeal for Reconsideration In-Person

This is a way where you need to visit the designated post office to submit your reconsideration application.

  1. Visit the Sassa office.
  2. Fill out the application form.
  3. Attach all the required documents.
  4. Submit the form to the officer.

3) Apply Via WhatsApp

  1. Open your mobile phone dialer and dial “082 046 8553” and save it as Sassa grant.
  2. Now open your WhatsApp account and choose “082 046 8553” as your desired contact to start the chat.
  3. Send “COVID” to that number and follow the prompts.
