Duties and Responsibilities

The Momentum Learnership Programme aims to equip young South Africans with both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace skills.

From 26 March 2026 to 31 March 2027, learners will:

  • Gain real work experience in insurance operations
    • Learn customer service and administrative processes
    • Understand insurance products and claims handling
    • Develop professional communication skills
    • Build workplace discipline and accountability

Upon successful completion, learners receive:

FETC: Short-Term Insurance Qualification (NQF Level 4)

This qualification significantly improves employability within financial services.

Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet ALL the following criteria:

Basic Eligibility

  • Aged between 18 and 25 years
    • South African citizen
    • Currently unemployed
    • No previous work experience required
    • Not studying at another institution
    • Not registered for another learnership
    • No post-Matric qualification

Academic Requirements

  • Passed Matric
    • Minimum 50% pass in English
    • Mathematics is advantageous
    • Must attach Matric certificate or preliminary results

Skills Requirements

  • Computer literate
    • Able to read, write and speak English
    • Genuine interest in insurance careers
    • Willingness to learn

Required Documents

  • Clear criminal record
    • Clear credit record
    • ID copy required with application
