Where to Receive Certificate In Absentia From Unisa Graduating in absentia means that you will not be attending a ceremony in person, although your degree will be conferred or diploma awarded at the ceremony or Council graduation.

What Does Certificate in Absentia Mean at UNISA?

A certificate in absentia simply means that you graduate without physically attending the graduation ceremony. UNISA will still confer your qualification, but you will collect or receive your certificate through alternative arrangements instead of walking across the stage.

This option is common for students who are unable to travel, are outside South Africa, or prefer remote collection.
