What does MOOC mean in Unisa? To facilitate your first-year journey, Unisa’s Student Retention Unit (SRU) has created the First-Year Experience Massive Open Online Course (FYE MOOC), an instrument that orientates and prepares first-time entering students to successfully undertake their studies at Unisa.

How do I write the MOOC test for Unisa?

  • To access the UNISA MOOC portal, simply click on the following link: www.mooc.unisa.ac.za/portal.
  • To create an account, simply click on the “New Account” option. When prompted, use your Unisa student number as the user ID.
  • After logging in, navigate to the “Membership” section, where you will find a list of sites that you can join.
  • To access the First-Year Experience Massive Open Online Course (FYE MOOC), simply click on the button stating “Join link for the UOL009-FYE101_2024”.
  • Remember to finish all the tests after each lesson, and don’t forget to submit them for grading.
  • Once you have completed the UOL009-FYE101_2024 course, there will be a one-hour waiting period before you can proceed to accept your offer to study at UNISA.

How long does it take to complete a MOOC?

Many people wonder about the duration to complete the MOOC at UNISA. Knowing that this open test is important, many students are concerned about the preparation and the timing.
